Tenerife July 2005
Having completed my PADI Open Water Course (OWC) in the Red Sea in May, I thought it would be a good idea to get more wet! So I did some research on 'tinternet and found a good site for all things diving - Yorkshire Divers. After reading some trip reports, I decided to try out Michael Max from Ocean Quest Divers. He is based in Torviscas, so easy to get to for those in Playa De Las Americas or anywhere in the South of Tenerife. A good choice that was - Michael is a very experienced diver and I got excellent tuition on a one-to-one basis. I did my Advanced Open Water & Nitrox courses with him in July. He tries to suit the dive sites to the type of diving - easy for a course, bit more exciting for adventure. For those not been to Tenerife - I thoroughly recommend it, the sea temperature was 22C - 23 in July and 23+ in August. 5mm semi-dry was fine.
