Red Sea September 2005
We had booked a holiday in Egypt for the wife's (Christine) birthday, the whole family went. It would be rude to go to the red sea and not dive .. so we did! We stayed in the Pyramisa hotel in Sharks Bay (Sharm El Sheik), which is an all inclusive. We thought the hotel was good, the food a bit bland but in the main ok. There is a house reef (very eroded by snorkelling) which was ok for a quick swim but not much else. We pre-booked (10% discount for pre-booking!) all our diving with Aquarius who reside in the Sheraton Sharm Hotel. They are good for tuition and run day boats to the major reefs. The planning was a bit awkward, trying to work around Chrisitne's bithday, but I managed not to dive! The Peter did AOW & Nitrox; Matthew & John doing their OWC plus a few dives. We met some great divers on the boats and these pictures have some of them diving (download if you were there!)
